FAQS
We are in a happy relationship and are getting married. Why should we do a premarital education class if we are happy?
That is great that you are in a happy relationship and congratulations! This class is designed to contribute to your relationship and will give you information to prevent or help deal with future problems.
The classes are considered educational. There will be some therapeutic aspects, but this won't be couple's therapy. The information you learn can benefit your relationship if you choose to apply what is learned.
This is an opportunity for you and your partner to work on your goals together! As each person works on their goals to get healthy and support each other's goals, this will add to your strong foundation both physically and emotionally!
When asked on the questionnaire, "What did you like best about the weekend?
One individual wrote, "I really enjoyed the opportunity to discuss/learn about different aspects in a designated setting." Her future husband wrote, "I liked the organization and tools to help you communicate."
Another individual wrote, "The program brought up questions & situations we hadn't thought to discuss - And we had positive & easy exercises to work through them." Her future husband wrote, "Learning the different ways of communication."
One individual circled the 10. Her future husband circled the 10 also.
Another individual circled the 10. Her future husband circled the 8.
One individual wrote, "Thank you so much for letting us participate! We're so grateful for your knowledge and the time you put int this!" Her future husband wrote, "I enjoy the open environment, I enjoyed everything. And it was a cool idea on the exchanging questions in the binder."
Another individual shared some ideas of things to add to the binder and presentation that she feels would be good for future premarital weekends. I appreciated the feed- back and I have implemented her suggestions!
Thank you for supporting my mission of helping couples build healthy foundations for their marriage.
